Team

The people behind the work.

Our team combines youth work, family support, safeguarding, arts practice, and community outreach so young people in Na Bhforbacha have consistent, local support.

Staff Team

Eight roles, one shared mission.

Each team member brings a different discipline to programme delivery, but all of them work from the same commitment to safety, belonging, and measurable growth for young people and families.

Director

Oisín Kennedy

Leads strategy, governance, and regional partnerships, keeping programme quality and public accountability aligned as services grow.

Youth Programme Coordinator

Niamh Ní Fhlatharta

Coordinates weekly youth sessions, staff rotas, and school links so young people move smoothly from referral into active participation.

Wellbeing Lead

Dara Ó Malley

Oversees resilience groups and one-to-one support, with a focus on early intervention, confidence building, and practical referral pathways.

Family Support Worker

Sorcha Breathnach

Works directly with parents and carers to reduce barriers around attendance, communication, and access to local supports.

Creative Futures Facilitator

Éanna Fahy

Designs bilingual arts and media projects that help participants build voice, teamwork, and confidence through public-facing work.

Safeguarding & Compliance Officer

Máiréad Hession

Maintains safeguarding systems, training schedules, and case-review processes so practice stays consistent and responsive.

Community Outreach Worker

Cian Ó Dubhda

Builds trust with schools, clubs, and local groups, helping the organisation reach young people who might not enter through formal referrals.

Monitoring & Evaluation Officer

Aisling de Bhaldraithe

Tracks participation, outcomes, and feedback data, turning day-to-day delivery into evidence that informs management and board decisions.

How We Work

Cross-functional and community-rooted.

The team works in close coordination across direct youth work, family engagement, safeguarding, and outcome tracking. That structure means support is not fragmented and families do not have to repeat their story at every step.

What Families See

Clear, joined-up support.

Programmes are designed so the person leading a session, the worker supporting a parent, and the staff member reviewing outcomes can act from the same shared understanding.
